Lions Ride for Sight Flinders Island 7255 15 Nov 2009 - 15 Nov 2014, 4th week of the month The Lions Ride For Sight is a 85 km bike ride around our picturesque Island, there is a shorter course for those who don’t feel up to the 85 km ride. The ride is to raise money and awareness for Preventive Blindness in Australia. The Lions Club are putting on a BBQ at the end on the ride.

The Hydro Tasmania Three Peaks Race Friday, 2 April - Tuesday, 6 April 2010 The Hydro Tasmania Three Peaks Race is a non-stop event, commencing at Beauty Point, just north of Launceston on the Tamar River and finishing in Hobart on the Derwent River. En route, the running members of each team have to scale Mt Strzelecki, Mt Freycinet and Mt Wellington.

Then on Sunday there will be the Flinder 5 km fun run which will be followed by "Flinders Fine Fare" - a showcase of what Flinders Island has to offer from food & wine to local entertainment
