Flinders 5 Running Festival Flinders Island 7255 6 Sep 2009 - 6 Sep 2014, 1st week of the month This is the third year of the Flinders 5km run. We are introducing the Flinders Island Half Marathon into this years festival which will be starting beneath Mt Strzelecki and finishing in Whitemark. The run will be followed by "The Taste of Flinders" - a showcase of what Flinders Island has to offer from food & wine to local entertainment
Annual Cancer Council Music Concert Flinders Island 7255 On Saturday, 19 September 2009 Our annual concert to raise funds for the Cancer Council of Tasmania will be held at the Whitemark Hall.
Grand Final Day at Furneaux Tavern On Saturday, 26 September 2009 Come down to the Tavern and enjoy the game on the big screen. Entry is $15 which includes a BBQ lunch available and entry into the Norm Smith Medal Draw!! There will also be 'Half Time Happy Hour'
Annual Flinders Island Show 16 Oct 2009 - 16 Oct 2014, 3rd week of the month, every 12th month This year is the show will have been running for 75 years. Come along and enjoy the days events, there will be local entertainment, food stalls, showbags, music and much more.
Ambulance Cabaret Flinders Island 7255 On Saturday, 17 October 2009 Come along and listen to a live band and enjoy a great night out. This event is organised by the Flinders Island Ambulance Volunteers Service and all proceeds raised go towards their training and new equipment.

Lions Ride for Sight Flinders Island 7255 15 Nov 2009 - 15 Nov 2014, 4th week of the month The Lions Ride For Sight is a 85 km bike ride around our picturesque Island, there is a shorter course for those who don’t feel up to the 85 km ride. The ride is to raise money and awareness for Preventive Blindness in Australia. The Lions Club are putting on a BBQ at the end on the ride.
